I've never wanted to be an Engineer because I hated the thought of sitting in a cubicle with office Chairs same desks and tippy tapping keyboards.
That was the case until i found a way to create stuff.
Projects that i can visualize, execute and that too with full ownership.
Frontend has always been my stronger side but
my thinking process is always towards the product features, code quality, and better security.
I've not done the Leetcode grind yet,
but i've learned how to solve technical problems in a way that's scalable, maintainable, and efficient.
Below shown projects are not a testament but just stepping stones in my learning so far
The project works flawless but access is blocked since it's a legal loophole to access Spotify Jam Feature for Free without the restriction of having only premium users as participants. I've emailed the dev support and higher ups in spotify but there has been no change in the api system. You can contact me for a demo or get a live demo if we schedule an interview together.
As a user wants to host a music session for a party, for a family car trip, or any group of 'n' people who want to enjoy music together but do not want the hassle of one person having to manage the playlist or keep adding songs, this app solves that problem by allowing everyone to contribute to the playlist, while keeping 'n-1' participants out of the spotify premium obligation.
This same feature is available on Spotify with the name of "Spotify Jam", but it is restricted to only 32 participants at a time and is only available for premium users. Whereas my app honestly has no such restriction on the number of participants and is available for all users.
The application lets the user search songs, add songs, control playback (play, pause, skip, next, prev), upvote or downvote songs, reorder songs in the queue, remove songs from the queue and many more features. All of this is done in real time, so everyone in the session sees the same thing at the same time. For aestheic purposes, I've added a color extractor that extracts non-gray colors from the music image and applies them to the UI (background, text, etc). It uses a simple js function library to extract the colors.

User Leetcode cards
The first project I made when i figured out how APIs work, saw everyone preparing with LeetCode, I wanted to do stuff my own way. Found a repository that was reading the user's leetcode stats, got an idea to create a card out of it. Since I was just figuring out how to develop, I had no idea but I just wanted to create something, no access to fancy coding IDEs or agents, this was my actual dumb vibe coding 2 years ago. No security, no authentication, just for fun. Closed it after 100k+ cards generated, I was getting billed and didn't want to monetize it because it was for students like myself.
It was a simple application where users input their leetcode usernames and it makes a http call to a simple node server, fetches the user Leetcode data, update the counter. This was a good example of how something really simple can hit the right nerve and be popular. I didn't know anything about marketing but I do have contacts in the commnubities, I asked a few initially, then they spread the word.

SEC Financial Data.
Python automation
Wanted to write a reasearch paper and came across this HUGE SEC DATASET of financial records of public companies, I thought i can figure out their spends, subsidies, and other attributes. Once i downloaded a lot of files the site would not let me download any more file again as if I was flagged in the system. Unfortunately I could not finish the research paper, due to lack of resources and a proper goal, but it was fun to figure out a lot of stuff as a student.
SEC - United States Securities and Exchange Commission, releases their public data in .txt files, really difficult to parse for someone without proper tools. This was am example of how organizations promise transparency, but on their own terms, which is not transparency completely, that's opaque. Trying with Indian data? don't even get me started on it.
I used Regex, sql scripting, writing/reading in csv files and python scripting for this. This project is worth noting because how with simple programming knowledge and will to figure out can get you your work done.
